Fund of Struggle Against Corruption Azerbaijan
Fund of Struggle against Corruption was established on February 1 2004. It was set up to arouse public opinion to carry out resolute struggle against corruption, provide close participation of the public in this struggle and eliminate the problems, impeding moral and juridical education of people and development of society. The Fund of Struggle against Corruption bases on creative potential of our nation and accepts faithfulness and frankness as a way of struggle to reach the assumed aims, and reveal real corruption state in Azerbaijan society. The Fund aims at not concealing the existing state and not exaggerating lie. The Fund of Struggle against Corruption aims at reducing the corruption level with support and efforts of independent person, and decent citizens of the democratic state, along with activation of anticorruption mechanisms and resources.

He was arrested some hours before he began his hunger protest against new law project on combatting corruption. Friends of Hazare consider him “new Qandi”.

Prosecutor General’s Office issues statement on results of anti-corruption measures in January-September 2011 in Azerbaijan The Prosecutor General’s Office issues a statement on the results of anti-corruption measures taken from January to September, 2011 in Azerbaijan.
Press service of the Office told, anti-corruption department of the Prosecutor’s Office launched 133 criminal investigations and 88 of them were completed and investigative materials about 147 persons were sent to the courts. These cases are mostly related to bribery, illegal interference in the official’s decision, abuse of office, office falsification, misappropriation, money laundering, and other facts.

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly 2011 Fall Meetings draft programme announced OSCE Parliamentary Assembly 2011 Fall Meetings will be held on October 7-10 in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The parliamentary conference on “Regional Development in South-East Europe: Challenges, Opportunities and Prospects” will be organized within the framework of fall meetings. In the opening session, parliamentarians from 56 countries will discuss the regional problems in South-East Europe. Possible topics of the discussions are development of good governance and fight against corruption, the war crimes legacy, the return of internally displaced persons and refugees and trafficking in human beings, business environment and investment opportunities, trade barriers, energy and environmental cooperation, infrastructure development. Azerbaijani delegation will also attend the session.

Croatia: Ex-Prime Minister Indicted For Corruption The former Prime Minister o Croatia was questioned at the Office for Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime where he has been held since extradition from Austria in July. Former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader has been indicted for corruption following an investigation into lucrative business deals involving state-owned enterprises.

Russian Communists launch site on corruption CPRF thought about using corruption theme during the election campaign. The party launched the site under the name of “Anti-corruption committee named after Stalin”. This is still a test project, it hasn’t got a link from an official site. The tasks of the site: “Our aim is creation, not destruction. Combating corruption is for saving the country, not for dismemberment. The work is difficult and painstaking. Who is ready, we ask you to join us. Others go to Seliger or anti-Seliger.”
The site is built on the principals of the well-known “RosPil” project of Aleksei Navalniy.

Head of traffic police detained Armenian head of traffic police, Margar Ohanyan was detained. According to Armenian press, he is accused of stealing more than 100 thousand liters of petrol. Related to the criminal case, one of Ohanyan’s people, ex-commander of Armenian Traffic police second battalion officer, police colonel, Stephan Karakhanyan was arrested.
